What are the SDGs?
On 25 September 2015, world leaders committed to a set of 17 global goals (SDGs) aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all by 2030.
These 17 interrelated and mutually reinforcing goals are a universal call to strengthen the 5 “Ps”: People, Planet; Prosperity; Peace and Partnership and set out targets and indicators intended to guide agendas over the next 15 years.
Manifesting the agenda, requires a holistic approach, one which treats partnership between governments, the private sector, civil society and people as crucial.
‘We need to turn the Global Goals into actively shared objectives for all of humanity, if we want to create a more sustainable world that works for all by 2030’
